Our History

A Century of Excellence

From typewriters to technology, NHBEA has evolved alongside business education.

1923

NHBEA Founded

A group of dedicated business teachers came together to form the New Hampshire Business Education Association, creating a professional community for educators across the state.

1950s

Post-War Growth

As business education expanded in schools, NHBEA grew to support the increasing number of educators teaching typing, shorthand, and bookkeeping.

1980s

Technology Revolution

NHBEA helped educators transition from typewriters to computers, providing professional development on emerging technologies.

2000s

Digital Transformation

As business education evolved to include digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and personal finance, NHBEA expanded its resources and recognition programs.
